Which of the following statements is FALSE?
The mechanical palm trees located around the outskirts of Tommorrowland fold and unfold at various times during the day to provide shade.
The stones used to build Cinderellas castle were taken from the same location as the Washington Monument.
There is wind gauge installed in Disney World's Wilderness Lodge's marina. The computer that runs the geyser senses wind speed for each "eruption" and adjusts the height of the water to prevent any blowing water from hitting the balconies of lake view rooms.

No Takers huh?
ReplyDeleteThe false choice is the one about Cinderella's castle...the stones weren't quarried from the same area as the Washington Monument - the whole castle is made out of fiberglass! And interesting tidbit about the Castle (and all the buildings on Main Street) is that they used forced perspective in creating them, so that the buildings look like they are several stories high, but really aren't. The castle is only 189 feet tall, but looks over 400 feet tall. The Main Street buildings use the same technique which makes the castle look even bigger!
I was going to say that was the only true one...HAHAHA Weren't Disney and his engineers smart...
ReplyDeleteI came late to the game on this one and would have probably said the windgauge was false....oh well.
